Makita Tools NSK GMC Warnert Racing XPS Ski-Doo’s Elias Ishoel & Max Taillfer
St. Cloud, MN (2/6/2017) - After capturing third at the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort, the team packed up and made their way straight to Dubuque, IA for Snocross stop number seven at Sundown Mountain Resort.
It was the first time the Snocross racing series made its way to Sundown Mountain Resort, as it offered a unique track layout and spectator area. Elias and Max finished well both days during the heats, moving on directly to the main events.
On Friday, Elias started at the rear of the pack and was able to work his way up to eighth before the finish. In the Pro Lite Class, Max experienced some issues that dropped him back in the field before finishing eleventh.
In the Pro Open Class on Saturday, Elias had a decent start but unfortunately would get involved in a multi-rider pile up early into the race. Elias would try his best to make up for lost time but would cross the finish in eleventh. Max had a better race on Saturday finishing seventh out of fifteen racers.
The eighth and final stop of the Snocross racing series will take place next weekend March 17-19th in beautiful Lake Geneva, WI, just north of Chicago, IL. This event will be a three-day event which draws in a huge crowd each year!
